C-TEC4 9000 SERIES TURBOCHARGED
The ZR Thundercat doesn’t mess around with our biggest, most powerful engine. The 9000 Series C-TEC4 three-cylinder turbocharged engine provides maximum power in all conditions.
The powerful 4-stroke engine generates 200 horsepower class at 8750 rpm. This 998cc engine features ultra-fast throttle and turbo response from an air-cooled turbocharger, as well as a DOHC design paired with four-hole fuel injectors to create maximum performance with minimum weight.
You also get engine braking control through an idle control circuit and engine mapping, lightweight aluminum cylinders and a press-forged crankshaft.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION ON THE FLY IACT
Choose from soft, medium or firm suspension at the touch of a button with handlebar-mounted controls that automatically and immediately adjust the FOX ZERO iQS gas shocks in your suspension. Available on select models.
FOX ZERO IQS SHOCKS
Easy to adjust and designed for all terrains and driving styles. Our premium FOX ZERO iQS shocks are available in 1.5″ and 2″ diameters. No matter what your driving style or what the day brings, FOX ZERO iQS shocks will be ready.
Featuring three compression settings (soft, medium and firm) that can be easily adjusted with a knob on the insulated reservoir, FOX ZERO iQS shocks are designed for changing terrain. The insulated reservoir provides hot-shoulder free operation, while the springs improve comfort during the toughest rides. Available in 1.5″ to 2″ diameters.
137″ SLIDE-ACTION REAR SUSPENSION
Get the most out of a linked suspension with a unique design that keeps the front arm engaged while the rear arm is compressed. Unlock the true potential of a linked suspension with our unique SLIDE-ACTION design. The front arm fits into a U-shaped slot that allows for 0.5″ of sliding movement, so the front arm doesn’t collapse when the rear arm compresses. This unique design gives you all the benefits of coupling: controlled ski lift during acceleration and full use of the front arm at all times. The SLIDE-ACTION suspension also provides lower and smoother track tension with Torque-Sensing Link, three-position rear coupler blocks, adjustable spring preload and a durable three-wheel rear axle.
FRONT SUSPENSION ARS II
Designed to provide the improved cornering and ground clearance you need for confidence-inspiring handling. The next generation of Arctic Race Suspension (ARS) has arrived. ARS II gives you better cornering and increased ground clearance to give you more confidence on and off the trail. We made the forged aluminum ski legs 1.5 inches taller between the ski and the lower arm and gave them stiffer upper A-arms. In addition, revised geometry offers a new roll center and adjustable camber, and a sway bar makes turns flatter and more predictable on packed trails.
