With three two-stroke options – the powerful 850 E-TEC, the new 600R E-TEC and the proven 600 Carb – and three four-stroke options – the dynamic new 900 ACE Turbo, the naturally aspirated 900 ACE and the sporty yet fuel-efficient 600 ACE – snowmobilers have plenty of options to choose from to match their exact style.
Improvements to the 900 ACE allow this naturally aspirated engine to generate an additional 5 hp for a total of 95 hp. The 900 ACE Turbo features a Rotax-designed and -built turbocharger that allows it to deliver an incredible 150 hp output – 20 hp more than the 1200 4-TEC it replaces. Consumers looking for a four-stroke engine can now choose a high-performance engine, available for the first time with the legendary X-RS package.
Both engines are moving to the roomy and agile REV Gen4 platform, and will join the 850 E-TEC and the new 600R E-TEC on what snowmobilers call “the best-handling platform in the industry. Comfortably seated in the spacious cockpit behind the narrow, molded Ergo-Step side panels, the snowmobiler can interpret the terrain and choose how to conquer it. The REV Gen4’s centralized weight allows the sled to respond instinctively to the rider’s commands, both in aggressive trail turns and during those fun-filled accelerations.
