The 2017 Yamaha VK Professional II has proven itself time and time again in the most frigid conditions on Earth. Every aspect of this snowmobile, from its body, riding position, engine, track and chassis, was designed with a firm commitment to building the best utility snowmobile on the market.

1 049 Cm³ engine
The fuel-injected engine helps with acceleration and fuel economy, while the larger displacement produces more power over a wider rpm range, which is required for utility snowmobiles.
Idle Speed Control
Idle speed control optimizes fuel volume for predictable idle speed when the engine is warm, while improving cold weather starts by increasing the amount of fuel. Idle speed control also minimizes engine braking by reducing intake vacuum for a more neutral feel when the throttle is released.
New CVT Transmission Settings
By controlling the belt clamping force, Yamaha engineers have improved clutch engagement for smoother acceleration, while providing more power and increased pulling force at mid and high rpm.
Rear Suspension with 2 Shocks and Springs
The torsion spring suspension frame is 20″ wide to provide the best combination of handling, stability and deep snow performance. The new frame features two 40mm high-pressure amortos that handle the damping forces well. The ride comfort is exquisite and the sag is reduced. The articulated slide contributes to the ease of reversing in deep snow.
Cobra
The main objective of the 20 x 154 x 1.5 inch Cobra track is to maximize the contribution of the surrounding snow by providing confidence-inspiring flotation in deep snow, as well as great traction. The 1.5″ bars are most useful at low speeds or when you want to pull a load, so they’re just right for this utility snowmobile.
Fuel tank of 44 Liters
The 44-liter fuel tank is larger than the previous model’s for increased range between fill-ups. In addition, the fuel tank is now narrower to provide greater comfort and a more desirable riding position, while emphasizing mass centralization.
Extraverted Driving Wheels
The extra-wide wheels are designed to transmit all the power of the Genesis 4-stroke to the ground. They prevent the track from spinning in the void, especially when the snowmobile is heavily loaded – a situation regularly encountered with a 51 cm (20 in.) wide track.
Position De Pilotage Redressée
The seat height and handlebar position have been raised by 50 mm compared to the RS Viking Professional. The result? The riding position allows for a wider range of riding positions, making it easier to switch from sitting to standing in the powder. It also increases the feeling of functionality. In addition, the firmness and thickness of the urethane cushion has been revised to provide optimal cushioning even at low temperatures.
Functionality
When designing the exterior of the snowmobile, engineers took into account the fine snow that could seep into the hood in very cold weather. The VK Professional II was designed to reduce snow accumulation inside the snowmobile, including the engine block. In addition, the wrap-around, heavy-duty front bumper protects the snowmobile more than adequately.
Redesigned Windshield
The redesigned windshield improves wind protection for both rider and passenger. The mirrors have also been integrated into the windshield for durability.
Transmission to Two Beaches
Set your drive range using the high and low ranges (Hi / Lo). The low range offers amazing pulling power, good traction and long belt life. The high range, on the other hand, offers increased top speed, good fuel economy and considerable range.
Specialized Front Suspension
The fully independent double-wishbone suspension features gull-wing arms for total control and generous ground clearance.

Reverse gear
The VK Professional II can venture into narrow areas. Its articulated slides make it easy to reverse in deep snow.
