The Quebec-based manufacturer remains one of the segment leaders, with an exceptionally comprehensive lineup. For 2027, the Tundra and Skandic have now migrated to the REV Gen5 platform. This update brings major improvements in ergonomics, refinement and handling. The Expedition continues to rely on a winning formula, with a broad selection of configurations designed to meet a wide variety of needs.
Depending on the intended use, the various models offer 16-, 20- or 24-inch-wide tracks. This year, the Expedition LE is also available with a 16-inch track. Rotax two-stroke and four-stroke engines make it possible to tailor the machine to heavy work, long-distance travel or recreational riding. The LinQ quick-attach system remains one of the brand’s strongest assets, supported by an impressive selection of accessories. In short, the snowmobile can easily be adapted to suit your work requirements.
Among the most interesting models, the Expedition Xtreme continues to deliver an excellent balance of work and play thanks to its light weight and off-trail capabilities. The Skandic LE and SE remain market benchmarks when it comes to towing heavy loads or taking on the toughest conditions. The adoption of the latest platform gives these highly popular Quebec models a welcome refresh.
Polaris TITAN and Voyageur
Polaris continues with the Matryx platform, which has underpinned its utility lineup for several seasons. The TITAN maintains its reputation as a true workhorse thanks to its LO-HI transmission, impressive towing capacity and suspension calibrated to carry heavy loads.
The 7S touchscreen with RIDE COMMAND delivers an excellent display while making navigation easier through its integrated GPS. In addition, the Lock & Ride attachment system makes it easy to add accessories based on the user’s needs. The Patriot 650, Patriot 850 and ProStar S4 engines remain at the heart of the lineup. They provide different combinations of power, reliability and fuel economy.
For riders who place greater emphasis on versatility and performance both on and off the trail, the Voyageur 155 remains a very appealing option. Lighter and more agile than the TITAN, it still offers excellent utility capabilities while providing greater freedom to explore beyond the beaten path. With its 15-inch-wide track, its handling and versatility are impressive.
As a bonus for 2027, a new Nordic Pro version joins the lineup. It features a carefully selected equipment package optimized for the needs of this market segment. This version also sports understated, all-black bodywork.
Arctic Cat Bearcat 400, 600 LT and 858 LT
The 2027 model year marks the highly anticipated return of Arctic Cat’s complete utility snowmobile lineup. After several years with limited work-oriented models, the manufacturer is back with a much more refined Bearcat range, now built on the latest Catalyst chassis.
The Bearcat 400 is the entry point to the family. Light, economical and easy to handle, it is well suited to users looking for a straightforward machine for light work and transportation.
The Bearcat 600 LT, meanwhile, offers an excellent balance between work capability and purchase price. It is, of course, built on the Catalyst platform, which represents a major change. Centralized mass and the narrow chassis give it far more engaging dynamics. Its 599 cc two-stroke engine can handle most tasks with ease while maintaining reasonable fuel consumption.
The most desirable model, however, remains the Bearcat 858 LT. Equipped with the powerful 858 cc two-stroke engine and a modernized platform, it puts Arctic Cat in a stronger position within the versatile utility segment. More powerful, more capable and more versatile than previous generations, it is aimed at users seeking a solid work machine that can also provide an enjoyable ride on the trail and even off-trail. With its narrow track and lack of a two-speed transmission, it compares more closely with the Polaris Voyageur. In short, it offers a more playful character, to some extent at the expense of pure work performance. The right choice depends on the rider’s needs and which qualities matter most.
LYNX Commander RE
For 2027, the Commander RE remains LYNX’s only representative in North America’s sport-utility segment. Although it is less focused on pure work than a Polaris TITAN or Ski-Doo Skandic SWT, it offers a unique balance of performance and versatility. Powered by a high-performance Rotax engine—either the 850 E-TEC or the 900 ACE Turbo R—the Commander RE benefits from LYNX’s expertise in suspension and deep-snow handling. Its PPS suspension and generous track allow it to move confidently through conditions where many more conventional snowmobiles quickly reach their limits.
Very similar to the Expedition Xtreme, the Commander RE stands out with its reinforced suspension components and an even stronger performance focus. For riders who want a single machine capable of occasionally towing a load, covering long distances and delivering plenty of enjoyment on off-trail rides, the Commander RE is an especially appealing choice.
