Table des matières

This category of snowmobile aims to give users the best of both worlds: skill on the trail and the ability to go off groomed trail. It’s all in the mix of skills that manufacturers want to give them. Here’s an overview of the models available in 2025.

Ski-Doo 2025

RAS RX front suspension

trail-hybrid snowmobiles 2025

We have to say we weren’t expecting this one… But it’s really a nice surprise for 2025! This new RAS RX suspension reduces the amount of play that the front suspension allows to waltz around on either side, before the stabilizer bar does its work. In other words, it increases the effectiveness of the stabilizer bar. The engineers repositioned the ski attachment point, lengthened the pivot arm by 26 millimeters, and finally changed the angle of the shock absorber by moving its attachment point on the lower wishbone closer to the pivot arm. And to finish it all off, they moved the rack’s hold on the pivot arm (Spindle) further away, to reduce the effort at handlebar level. Very conclusive in our tests!

New Pilot RX trail ski

This new ski differs from the Blade XC+ on the Lynx, but is based on the same principle of two superimposed pins.

The 22-mm-high lower pin is trapezoidal in shape, which slightly reduces aggressiveness on hard surfaces. The overall width of 160 millimeters provides a total contact area 60% larger than the Pilot X, and greater aggressiveness.

Backcourntry XRS 850 turbo

It’s back in 2025, with a more trail-oriented option. We’re even told it’s 80% trail and 20% off-piste. Ski spacing at 43 inches, but also available in a 39-inch version, new Ras RX front suspension paired with Pilot RX skis.

Add the 850 turbo with water injection, a Storm 1.5 track and Shot starter. Perfect for the trail and occasional powder play.

Electric expedition

Following on from last year’s launch of the electric Grand Touring, Ski-Doo expands the range with an expedition model. Wider, longer track for improved flotation. And for this season, both models will be available to companies offering guided tours, ski resorts and others.

Integrated GPS with 10.25” display

SKI25-10.25in-Screen-Display-CS-FEATURE – grande taille

By 2025, all models with a 10.25-inch screen will feature an integrated interactive map that doesn’t need to be connected to your cell phone. And the option of connecting to your cell phone will also be functional with the BRP GO application. Another point worth mentioning is that for 2023 and 2024 models equipped with the 10.25-inch screen, an adapter is available to use the integrated GPS without a connection, as on 2025 models.

Lynx 2025

Rave GLS!

To celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary, we’re presented with a brand-new model in the colors of the 1985 GLS, the RAVE GLS. The perfect blend of retro and turbo! Under the hood of the Radien 2 platform, we find the powerful 850 E-TEC Turbo with water injection, LFS+ suspension with KYB PRO 46 HLCR shock absorbers, and PPS 3 at the rear, also with KYB PRO 46 HLCRs.

Yamaha 2025

Hard to believe, but it’s true: this is the last snowmobile production season for the Japanese company. However, we’re assured that service and warranties will all be honored by dealers for many years to come.

SRX adjustable handlebars

Did you know? The Yamalube Advantage program guarantees your engine for 20 years or 160,000 kilometers! You must maintain your Yamaha according to the time and mileage intervals recommended by the Yamaha factory and have purchased the warranty at the time of purchase. Your Yamaha must be serviced with Yamalube oil and a genuine Yamaha oil filter. Yamaha will provide up to 10% more than the stated mileage or time interval. Yes, you read that right… This warranty includes all snowmobiles 899 cm3 and larger from 2019 to today. And it’s transferable. Check with your Yamaha dealer!

Polaris 2025

Dynamix suspension

We’ve been waiting for it, and now it’s finally here – the Dynamic electronic suspension in the world of snowmobiles. Available only in preseason, it will be fitted on the Indy VR1 650, 850 and 850 Boost. We had high hopes for this new technology, which admittedly works wonders in the world of side-by-side vehicles. It offers three resistance modes, Comfort, Rally and Extreme. The central system (IMU) controls the snowmobile’s four shock absorbers. Reaction is very rapid to optimize comfort and maneuverability.

When cornering, the system sends a message to increase the internal resistance of the shock absorber outside the bend, and this kind of operation is also performed during braking or acceleration to enhance stability. And it’s worth mentioning that you can view the application of force to the snowmobile’s four shock absorbers on the touchscreen in real time!

900R on the trail!

trail-hybrid snowmobiles 2025

Introduced on mountain models last year, it’s now available on trail for 2025! With 7% more power and 12% more pound torque, this big bore is sure to capture the attention of trail or 50/50 enthusiasts. Polaris executives have chosen the ultimate Cross Country machine for the new pursang, the XCR, and the 900R will also be available in a Switchback Assault version.

Arctic Cat

858 cm3!

The big news for 2025 at Arctic Cat is undoubtedly the introduction of the long-awaited 858 two-cylinder! This new mill develops nothing less than 11% more power and torque than the old 800, estimated at over 165 hp.

Center of gravity!

All models equipped with the Arctic Cat 858 have seen their center of gravity reduced by around 4%. Engineers have succeeded in repositioning all powertrains two inches lower in the engine compartment, lowering the center of gravity for improved maneuverability.

Model equipped with the 858…

Arctic Cat is betting big on its new engine. Often, a new engine only appears in one segment on one or two models, but here Arctic Cat is going All Inn with its new 858! It’s found in all ZR, ZR SnoPro and ZR SnoPro models with ATAC, as well as the ZR 858 R-XC. Hybrids have not been left out in the cold: RIOT, RIOT SnoPro and RIOT SnoPro with ATAC are also equipped with the new two-cylinder.

Electric starter!

All ZR 858 and Riot 858 models will feature an electric starter for the new season. Undeniably a big advantage, given the size of the displacement, which will certainly be a bit hard on the arms at -30 Celcius :-).

Garmin!

trail-hybrid snowmobiles 2025

Our association with Garmin brings us a brand-new eight-inch interactive digital display! This new screen works perfectly without a cellular connection, and offers many more options when connected to your cell phone. You can see up to 20 other Garmin-equipped snowmobiles simultaneously! And if your colleagues don’t have this new screen, you can download the software onto their smartphone, and you’ll be able to see them on your screen, even if they have another brand of snowmobile ;-)! What’s more, interaction with your cell phone is very sophisticated. Of course you can be connected to your communication system and make or receive calls, but you can also view weather forecasts with radar directly on the screen!
