The 2022 Yamaha SRVIPER L-TX GT is a true athlete in the 125 HP class. Its sleek aerodynamic lines are reflected in its second generation bodywork. Its naturally aspirated 1,049cc engine delivers plenty of torque to deliver excellent throttle response. Its power delivery is smooth and its ergo is state-of-the-art. The 2022 Yamaha SRVIPER L-TX GT, like all Yamaha’s, is extremely fuel efficient, Mother Nature friendly and reliable. It’s designed to last you for many, many winters!

2022 Yamaha SRVIPER L-TX GT HIGHLIGHTS

  • The proven 1,049cc Genesis 3-cylinder engine uses a closed-loop fuel injection system and four valves per cylinder to unleash its horses like no other in its class, offering instant throttle response and a breathtaking torque curve that catapults you from one corner to the next in the blink of an eye. And all this without guzzling gas and building on its reputation for durability.
  • The Advanced Ride Control System (ARCS) front suspension features long stub axles made of high-strength forged alloy and lightweight upper control arms. Its geometry is designed to optimize function while increasing ground clearance. The result is a fiercer bite with less chassis roll, resulting in more predictable and consistent handling.
  • The SRViper L-TX GT is equipped with Fox QS3 amortos, which is a significant improvement for this model. These high-pressure, coil-sprung amortos use an attached reservoir to provide incredible sag control. They also have three settings for compression damping force, so the snowmobiler can adjust the softness or stiffness of the damping to suit the snow conditions and his or her own preferences in a snap.
  • Yamaha’s new single-keel skis strike a delicate balance between light handlebar effort and precise handling over a wide range of snow conditions. Unique tapered carbide rails further enhance steering responsiveness. A unique cushioned wedge combines with the rubber cradle wedge to adjust the pressure point of the carbide rail. Overall ski spacing is also adjustable – just move the thick shim on each ski stub to the opposite side.

2022 Yamaha SRVIPER L-TX GT PERFORMANCE

  • The two pistons of the caliper exert their braking force directly on the drive shaft and work in concert with an oversized brake disc. The Stealth master cylinder is paired with the Stealth composite shifter for excellent modulation, feel and ergonomic fingering.
  • In the 1,049cc Genesis engine, the airbox and intake are forward-facing, maximizing airflow to the engine and preventing starvation. In short, it results in a power delivery and exemplary throttle response. In addition, the high-flow stainless steel exhaust manifold is snow-cooled, optimizing performance without excessive noise or heat.
  • Featuring a main clutch and a follower clutch, the YVXC system has fun engaging the pulleys smoothly, delivering instant acceleration, quick downshifts and optimal operating temperatures that promote long belt life. The YVXC clutch system deploys power smoothly as only Yamaha can, along with all the lively feel of the responsive engine, without sacrificing any of the unmatched quality.
  • Camso’s RipSaw II track with 1.25-inch lugs, considered the best high-performance track on the market, accelerates, brakes and waltzes like a virtuoso in a wide range of conditions.

MANIABILITY

  • The layered structure of the SRV frame creates a rigid mounting point for the 30° angled SRV suspension at the front of the snowmobile. This “slant” mounting transmits shock to the strongest points of the frame, resulting in a more stable, predictable ride. Lightweight, tall forged stub axles help strengthen this front suspension incredibly well, with controlled camber geometry that offers great stability and requires little effort at the handlebars.
  • Fine aluminum extrusions are joined with precision castings to create an incredibly strong, lightweight, and intuitive chassis. Its highly rigid, layered structure is designed to distribute hard impacts throughout the frame, making it an extremely resilient frame.
  • The SR 137 dual-amorto, long-travel rear suspension offers a great ride, is a virtuoso in bumps, bites the snow with appetite and is adjustable to the rider’s liking thanks to its high-end Fox 2.0 QS3 shock at the rear of the rear suspension and the GHP shock in the center. This SR 137 suspension is called “linked” because it features a unique “sliding” mount in its front delta arm; a “slot” in the mount allows the front arms to “slide” up to ½” for controlled (reduced) ski lift during acceleration or braking, while maintaining agility in the bumps.
  • The housing, made of lightweight magnesium, serves many purposes. First, it serves as a chain guard with an integrated push button for reverse; it provides a solid attachment point for the frame rail; and it also serves as a detached oil tank. Its multi-functional design allows for a lighter, more compact chassis, which translates into a more comfortable ride and improved handling.

CONFORT

  • One of the switches on the left side of the dash allows you to change the heat intensity of the heated grips and the thumb warmer “on the fly”. A convenient rocker switch is used to select information on the dashboard, and the push-button for reverse gear, also integrated into the left-hand grip, can be selected just as easily. On the right, the bald handle includes the ergonomic throttle and the self-contained emergency engine cut-off. The Hayes “Stealth” brake cylinder is paired with the composite brake lever to provide excellent modulation, feel and braking power.
  • The high-intensity LED headlight is lighter, brighter and more precise than a traditional incandescent bulb, and it lasts considerably longer, too. The bright LED tail/brake light is perfectly matched to this LED headlight up front.
  • The mid-height windshield, made of smoke-tinted polycarbonate, was designed to protect the snowmobiler on very long rides in icy weather. The top of the windshield has a small lip that deflects wind and snow up and over the snowmobiler at high speeds, while the flared edges provide added protection and warmth for the hands. This GT (grand touring) windshield was also designed to accommodate the optional mirrors. It’s thicker than a standard windshield, so it dampens mirror vibrations during high-speed rides, and it also has marked indentations for easy installation of optional mirrors.
  • A special high-density foam is sculpted to ease the transition from sitting to standing, and to facilitate the rider’s lateral movements. The firm foam provides the precise comfort needed for long rides, and the non-slip surface helps keep the rider in place when the throttle is suddenly applied. The heating element integrated into the handles will surely please the hardcore snowmobilers, especially when the cold north blows relentlessly.
