Once again this year, Polaris raises the bar on the mountain with a new version for the most demanding riders. The 2027 Polaris RMK Factory Edition makes a striking entrance with its many improvements. It is designed to be stiffer, more playful, and even better calibrated for the most aggressive riders.

The RMK Factory Edition features a unique and distinctive color scheme.

It is directly inspired by competition development and the ambassadors who push the boundaries of off-trail riding each season. The Factory Edition version is the ultimate expression of the RMK platform. Let’s take a moment to review the improvements that set it apart.

Boost turbocharged engine: consistent power at altitude

Two engines are available on the Factory Edition.

At the heart of the machine, the turbocharged Patriot Boost engine remains one of the benchmarks at high altitude. Its ability to maintain consistent power regardless of elevation allows you to tackle long climbs with the same intensity from bottom to top. The throttle response is relatively immediate, direct, and precise. In deep snow, acceleration is powerful and performance is outstanding. In technical terrain, the available horsepower facilitates quick corrections and repositioning.

Of course, a turbocharged engine is not as responsive as a naturally aspirated version in certain situations… Rest assured, the 2027 Polaris RMK Factory Edition can also be ordered with the Patriot 9R. This will give you immediate response and peak performance when altitude is not an issue. Otherwise, in the high peaks, the Boost comes out on top. In short, you need to choose the right engine for your main terrain.

Walker Evans Racing Factory Edition Suspension

A large part of the new features of the 2027 Polaris RMK Factory Edition is based on the integration of Walker Evans Racing Factory Edition shock absorbers. Specifically calibrated for this version, they are designed to withstand aggressive and sustained riding. The shock absorbers improve control at high speeds as well as on very rough terrain. The results on snow are as follows: In short, the handling is more intuitive and precise. The snowmobile remains predictable even when the pace increases. This suspension inspires confidence and allows you to fully exploit the potential of the Matryx chassis.

  • Superior absorption of repeated impacts and less risk of bottoming out.
  • Increased stability on hard-packed snow.
  • Better support in technical sidehill riding.
  • And the manufacturer claims better long-term durability. Only time will tell…

40% stiffer rails

For this version only, Polaris has introduced rails that are claimed to be 40% stiffer. This change subtly but effectively transforms the rear dynamics. The increased stiffness reduces torsion under lateral load and therefore improves precision when carving. This promotes the stability of the machine on sustained climbs and, above all, increases durability in extreme riding conditions.

In other words, the rear responds more sharply and provides more feedback to the rider. Transitions are crisper, support is more solid, and the line is more precise.

New rear suspension geometry

It remains very precise in « tree riding ».

The 2027 Polaris RMK Factory Edition also features new rear suspension geometry. This could be described as a hybrid geometry positioned between that of the Khaos and the Pro RMK. This strategic approach combines the best aspects of each of these variants. The result is the dynamism and playful weight transfer of the Khaos, combined with the stability and precision of the Pro RMK.

The result is a snowmobile that is lively and responsive without sacrificing line control in challenging terrain. Weight transfer is better controlled, facilitating technical maneuvers while maintaining excellent stability on steep climbs. This is the balance sought by off-trail riders: a happy medium between performance, playful handling, and absolute control.

It should be noted that the RMK Factory Edition will be available in a single track length, 155 inches. There will be two track options with 2.75-inch or 3.25-inch lugs.

Designed for demanding and intense riders

The 2027 Polaris RMK Factory Edition is clearly aimed at experienced riders looking for maximum performance in the mountains. It requires active and robust riding on the part of the rider. In return, the snowmobile immediately rewards the rider’s commitment with precise handling.

In deep powder, it remains agile despite its power and always seeks to climb quickly on the snow. In technical terrain, the combination of reinforced rails and Factory Edition suspension provides a higher level of precision. It’s a machine designed to tackle the most ambitious lines with confidence. As long as you are aggressive and determined in guiding it where you want to go. It’s in the DNA of Polaris mountain snowmobiles to demand more effort when riding. However, the precision is always just as satisfying to observe on these machines.
