The 2018 Expedition SWT extra-wide track model introduced in January 2018 comes from a long line of workhorses that nothing can stop, capable of going anywhere and doing anything, but with a superior level of comfort and control for snowmobilers who demand the most capable vehicles for work and play. Often living in remote areas where the trails are often wild, these snowmobilers have always needed the flotation, traction and towing capabilities of the impressive 156″ x 24″ (396 cm x 61 cm) track, now with the added comfort and control of an adjustable A-arm front suspension with adjustable ski spacing.
True to the model’s namesake, the Ski-Doo Expedition SWT adds a trail-like blend of comfort and convenience, with additional hybrid capabilities and a marked aptitude for hard work. The extra width of the new model’s RAS 2 wishbone front suspension provides precise, predictable handling. A clear indication of the Expedition line’s dual purpose. The work-oriented SC-5U rear suspension with lockable articulating rail makes it easy to reverse in deep snow and provides incredible traction for pulling heavy loads. The Synchromesh transmission with two forward/reverse speeds, standard trailer hitch and impressive rear trunk and seat storage help provide the versatility and capability you’d expect.
Under the hood of the Expedition SWT is the 90 hp Rotax 900 ACE 4-stroke engine, renowned for its ease of use, impressive low and mid-range torque, particularly appreciated for towing heavy loads, extreme reliability and ability to start in the coldest of temperatures. Not to mention the new colors that clearly indicate that “the 24” model has changed too.
New in 2018
The Expedition SWT combines a front A-arm suspension with adjustable ski spacing from 975 to 1020 mm (38.4-40.2 in.) with a 61 cm (24 in.) wide track.
