Quebec City, November 15, 2016 – Promoted by SM Médias, it is with great pleasure that La Capitale General Insurance will once again present the 2017 Snowmobile and ATV Industry Show in Québec, on November 3, 4 and 5, 2017, at the Centre de Foires ExpoCité. “Last week’s great success reminded exhibitors of the good years of 2000,” confirms Mr. Pierre Harvey of SM Médias.

2017 Snowmobile and ATV Industry Show – A successful and innovative exhibition

“This first edition of the Grand Salon was innovative and exhibitors were pleased to see that we paid close attention to their feedback and all the details. First, the $13 admission fee, which was valid for all three days of the event, brought over 3,000 visitors back to the show. Secondly, the first 500 visitors per day who filled out an entry form for the Enjoy Life with La Capitale contest, in partnership with Ste-Foy Nissan and Polaris Industries, received free Airmedic protection for one season as well as 100 entries in the draw for a Nissan Titan (2-year lease). This new concept was a total success! We had over 700 visitors at our doors in the morning who wanted to take advantage of this privilege. Finally, the show, which turned into a large festive gathering on Saturday evening with the presentation of a show and the exclusive movie Slednecks 19, was a great success with over 1265 visitors in the show room provided in the show.”

The only industry show in Quebec with a promising future for young and old

For the first time in Quebec, in a hall whose dimensions were 120,000 sq. ft. equivalent to two soccer fields, with a forecast of 135,000 sq. ft. in 2017, all the manufacturers’ models and their dealers were there to present their latest technology, parts and accessories: Arctic Cat, Argo, Can-Am, CFMoto, Discovery UTV, Yamaha, Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Nordik, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Suzuki. In addition, all the other companies active in this industry, such as fashion, tourism, rental companies and hotels, whose economic spin-offs amount to more than 3 billion dollars per year in Quebec, had the opportunity to exhibit their new products and innovations. This industry, which represents more than 600,000 people who practice their sport on or off the trail, whether or not they are members of federations, is the target market for our show,” added Yves Watier, Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing for La Capitale General Insurance, “and this, while respecting the laws and safety rules that prevail in these two niches.

This first edition also showed us that we were right on target in our marketing by seeing the presence of young users at the show. Our presence in 4 television stations, 14 radio stations and 8 magazines as well as a complete social networking team made a big difference and the youth responded.

In 2017, we will also be able to see our friends Marcel Bouchard and Patrick Campeau who are currently preparing a safety campaign with La Capitale General Insurance, aimed at the responsible and safe behaviours to adopt while practicing their favorite leisure activity”, underlines Mr. Watier, from La Capitale General Insurance.
