Barrie, ON – November 4th, 2026 – Suzuki Canada Inc. is pleased to announce its 2027 motorcycle lineup, highlighted by the introduction of two all-new models: the GSX-10R and SV-7S. The new models bring advanced technology and fresh character to Suzuki’s sport and street categories, joining a returning lineup that spans sport, street, adventure, dual purpose, scooter, off-road and motocross motorcycles. The result is a refreshed lineup that offers Canadian riders more choice and added value for the new model year.

NEW FOR 2027: GSX-10R

The all-new GSX-10R brings Suzuki’s liter-class sport performance into a new generation, combining a refined 999 cm³ inline-four engine with a lightweight aluminum chassis, fully adjustable suspension and an extensive suite of electronic rider technologies. Developed to deliver an engaging experience from public roads to the racetrack, the GSX-10R draws on Suzuki’s racing heritage while balancing focused performance with everyday rideability.

Built around the development concept “FUN. UNLIMITED.”, the GSX-10R’s 999cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline-four engine inherits the DNA of a machine that has achieved repeated racing victories. It continues to evolve by incorporating technologies built upon a core architecture and expertise accumulated over decades of GSX-R development. Refinements to the engine and its intake and exhaust systems are intended to further enhance reliability while preserving the strong, responsive character of the 999 cm³ liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four. The engine produces a claimed 112 kW (152 PS) at 11,000 rpm and 106 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm.

ADVANCED ELECTRONIC RIDER TECHNOLOGY

The GSX-10R introduces the most extensive collection of electronic control systems in Suzuki motorcycle history. The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) brings together a comprehensive suite of rider aids designed to help manage power delivery, traction, braking and stability across a range of riding conditions. At its centre is the enhanced SDMS-α system, which allows riders to select engine power characteristics to suit their preferences and the conditions.

Two notable additions are Suzuki’s new Slide Control and Brake Hold Control systems. Slide Control monitors lateral movement during cornering and works alongside traction control to help manage a slide with measured intervention, supporting predictable cornering and corner exits. Brake Hold Control is designed to maintain rear brake pressure for approximately 30 seconds after the motorcycle comes to a complete stop, helping prevent unintended movement when restarting on inclines, level ground or downhill slopes.

The electronic package also includes ride-by-wire throttle control, Suzuki Traction Control System, lift limiter, roll torque control, engine-brake control, launch control, Motion Track Brake System with cornering ABS, and a bi-directional Quick Shift System. Together, these technologies are designed to support rider confidence while preserving the direct connection and control expected of a high-performance sport motorcycle.

CHASSIS, SUSPENSION AND BRAKING

A twin-spar aluminum frame forms the foundation of the GSX-10R, balancing rigidity and low weight to deliver agile handling and stability. The riding position is designed around a forward-leaning sport posture, with ergonomics developed to support rider movement and control. A 53-degree maximum lean angle and revised chassis components further reinforce the motorcycle’s track-focused capability.

Suspension is fully adjustable at both ends. The 43 mm KYB inverted front fork allows adjustment of spring preload, compression damping and rebound damping, while the newly designed linkage-type rear suspension provides spring preload and rebound adjustment, along with separate high- and low-speed compression damping adjustment. This range of adjustment allows riders to tailor the motorcycle for track riding, road use or longer journeys.

A radial front brake master cylinder and specially developed brake discs are designed to provide linear response and strong stopping performance. Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S23 tires, including a 190/55ZR17 rear tire, are fitted to lightweight six-spoke cast aluminum wheels to support grip, stability and responsive handling.

DESIGN, EQUIPMENT AND RIDER INTERFACE

The GSX-10R’s styling carries forward the visual DNA of the GSX-R family in a sharp, modern form. Forward-swept winglets are integrated into the front bodywork, contributing to the motorcycle’s aggressive profile while helping manage airflow and generate downforce to reduce front-end lift under acceleration.

The design also pays tribute to the 999cc engine heritage through a compact, purposeful silhouette. A full-colour TFT instrument display provides vehicle information and access to electronic settings through an intuitive handlebar interface. Suzuki Ride Connect+ smartphone connectivity adds navigation and selected smartphone information, while a USB Type-C port provides a convenient power connection. The GSX-10R also features an 18-litre fuel tank and an 810 mm seat height.

The GSX-10R will be available in Canada in summer 2027, in three colourways:

  • Pearl Vigor Blue / Metallic Mystic Silver
  • Pearl Pulse Red / Solid Iron Grey
  • Metallic Galaxy Grey / Glass Sparkle Black

NEW FOR 2027: SV-7S

The all-new SV-7S brings a modern interpretation of Suzuki’s much-loved SV formula to the mid-size naked street category. Building on the accessible performance, slim proportions and distinctive character that have defined the SV650, the SV-7S pairs Suzuki’s proven 645 cm³ 90-degree V-twin engine with a new generation of electronic rider aids, smartphone connectivity and updated styling.

Developed around the concept “Easy to Ride, Hard to Forget,” the SV-7S is designed to appeal to a broad range of riders. Its smooth, tractable power delivery and rider-friendly ergonomics help build confidence for newer riders, while the V-twin’s distinctive pulse, responsive handling and added electronic capability offer plenty for more experienced motorcyclists.

PROVEN V-TWIN CHARACTER, MODERN CONTROL

At the heart of the SV-7S is Suzuki’s liquid-cooled 645 cm³ DOHC 90-degree V-twin, an engine first introduced in 1999 and refined through more than 25 years of development. With more than 500,000 units produced, the compact powerplant is known for its broad, linear torque delivery, smooth response and distinctive firing character. For the SV-7S, the engine has been updated to work with a new ride-bywire electronic throttle system, providing precise, progressive response and enabling the integration of Suzuki’s electronic rider aids.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) includes Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), with three selectable power delivery modes, and Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), offering three intervention levels plus OFF. A bi-directional Quick Shift System allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts, helping make gear changes smoother and reducing rider effort. Suzuki Easy Start and Low RPM Assist further support convenient starting and smoother low-speed operation.

EVERYDAY COMFORT AND CONNECTED TECHNOLOGY

The SV-7S is built around a tubular steel trellis frame designed to deliver balanced rigidity, slim proportions and predictable handling. A 41 mm telescopic front fork provides 125 mm of travel, while the link-type rear monoshock offers seven-step spring preload adjustment and 129 mm of rear wheel travel. Dual 290 mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a 240 mm rear disc provide braking performance supported by ABS.

A relaxed, upright riding position, narrow midsection and 785 mm seat height contribute to easy reach to the ground and everyday accessibility. The 14-litre fuel tank maintains the slim profile of the SV platform, while the suspension is tuned to balance responsive handling with comfort on urban roads and longer rides.

The SV-7S features full LED lighting, including a distinctive mono-round headlight that blends a classic reference with modern illumination. A 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display presents vehicle information and electronic settings, while Suzuki Ride Connect+ smartphone integration supports turn-by-turn navigation and selected call, message, calendar, weather and traffic notifications.

The SV-7S will be available in Canada in Spring 2027, in a single colourway:

• Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue
