The Polaris RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar lineup is expanding, reinforcing RANGER’s position as the No. 1 selling utility side-by-side. Known for its extreme-duty capabilities, the RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar stands out as the top-tier offering, delivering impressive comfort and durability.
For 2026, Polaris continues to expand its premium RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar lineup with the introduction of the Texas Edition and the Mountaineer Edition. Both editions are tailored to meet the specific needs of customers in key regions and will be available in limited quantities, making them exclusive options for riders.
RANGER CREW XD 1500 NorthStar Texas Edition
Polaris has expanded its Texas collection with the new RANGER CREW XD 1500 NorthStar Texas Edition featuring bold styling and enhanced capabilities, embracing Lone Star pride.
Key features of the Texas Edition include:
- 32” PRO ARMOR Trekker Tires: Providing industry-leading ground clearance of 16”, enabling it to handle the rugged Texas terrain with confidence.
- Full-Surround JBL® Trail Pro 4200 Audio: Front and rear speakers with two subwoofers deliver an immersive sound experience for all passengers whether driving to a hunting spot or working around the ranch.

RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar Mountaineer Edition
Designed for the backcountry, the Mountaineer Edition is purpose-built with 20% more low-end torque than standard RANGER XD 1500, for smooth uphill climbs and heavy-duty performance at high elevation. The vehicle addresses the need for enhanced performance in mountainous regions to explore the outdoors or for big game hunting.
Key features of the Mountaineer Edition include:
- 3.77 Rear Drive Gear Ratio: In relation to the current XD 1500 that has a 3.07 gear ratio, a 3.77 ratio enhances low-end torque and enables smoother throttle control to climb confidently in high-altitude terrain.
- Tinted Windows: A factory-installed window tint keeps the cab more comfortable when you’re riding at elevation.
- Exclusive “Mountaineer Edition” Graphics
- Reduced Top Speed Compared to RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar
The two new special edition models include all the standard vehicle features offered on RANGER XD 1500 NorthStar Ultimate, including:
