LYNX RAVE RE 20th Anniversary 2027: One Champion!

Lynx Rave RE 20th Anniversary 2027

The very first Lynx Rave RE, introduced as a 2007 model, was based on the Lynx Rave 440 production race snowmobile. It represented the culmination of Lynx’s R&D program, imbued with the team’s vast experience and success in snowcross and cross-country racing.

The Rave RE combined a carbureted Rotax 600 H.O. engine, a firm and confidence-inspiring PPS rear suspension, and an A-VRC front suspension with robust KYB shock absorbers offering a wide range of adjustment options. Minimalist, race-focused controls completed the package, speaking the language of pure racing. The result was far more than just a traditional trail snowmobile dressed up with race-inspired stickers. The Rave RE set a new benchmark for sport trail snowmobiles by being a factory-ready, race-winning machine that required no modifications. Following its launch, the Rave RE was an immediate commercial success and distinguished itself by winning comparative tests in Scandinavian snowmobile media, as well as cross-country racing series in Finland. Riders hailed it as the standout snowmobile of the season. It became the model everyone in Scandinavia was talking about, as well as one of the best-selling models of all time.

What made the 2007 Rave RE legendary was its unmatched ability to tackle the toughest riding conditions. It devoured bumps and ditches with ease, offering excellent handling even when pushed to the limit. The suspension stood out for its smooth operation, free of restrictive anti-squat mechanisms, ensuring both control and comfort. The long center arm of the PPS rear suspension gave the snowmobile exceptional grip and predictable ski lift, striking an ideal balance between agility and traction. That season, the Rave RE was hailed as the ultimate sports snowmobile: fast, uncompromising, and destined to become a legend.

It is on this foundation that the Rave RE’s legacy has continued to evolve. Each generation, from the R-EVO platform in 2007 to today’s Radien2, has perfected the formula while preserving its racing DNA. Modern versions offer advanced ergonomics, intuitive controls, cutting-edge Lynx technology, and enhanced riding comfort, while retaining the original essence: a purebred sports snowmobile designed on the racetrack and perfected for the trails.

In 2027, Lynx celebrates the 20th anniversary of this iconic snowmobile. The anniversary edition features a color scheme inspired by the 2007 model, paying homage to the very first Rave RE, and is paired with an all-new engine, the Rotax 600RR E-TEC (optional). The next-generation engine now delivers 130 horsepower and offers significantly crisper acceleration response, thanks to a new throttle body with auxiliary injectors—a technology derived from the 850 E-TEC and originally developed for the 600RS E-TEC.

With its signature Lynx ride feel, proven PPS³ rear and LFS-R front suspensions—both equipped with industry-leading KYB PRO shocks—and sporty ergonomics, the Rave RE remains, and will continue to remain, the most coveted snowmobile on the trails.

KEY FEATURES OF THE RAVE RE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION ROTAX® ENGINE OPTION

NEW ROTAX 600RR E-TEC

The successor to the legendary 600R E-TEC, the new 600RR E-TEC features a new throttle body with auxiliary injectors, derived from the 850 E-TEC and originally from the 600RS E-TEC racing engine. The new throttle body with auxiliary injectors, combined with optimized cylinder porting, delivers 20% faster acceleration response and a 5 hp increase in maximum power. Capable of reaching 8,250 rpm (150 more than the 600R E-TEC), it develops 130 horsepower, making the 600RR E-TEC the most powerful engine in its class.

The new, improved primary air box, combined with the new exhaust system, gives the new engine a sporty sound signature. The modernized exhaust system is designed to match the increased performance of the new engine. Improved airflow, a larger muffler, and a redesigned exhaust pipe create a distinctive sound signature while maintaining lower noise levels for a better riding experience.

Silent-Stop function for smarter riding

While mastering its fierce character, the 600RR E-TEC adds a new dimension of user-friendliness with advanced technologies and improved fuel efficiency. The new Silent-Stop feature shuts down the engine when stationary and automatically restarts it when moving, saving fuel and making it easier to talk to your riding companions.

Up to 20% less oil consumption

The 600RR E-TEC engine consumes up to 20% less oil than its predecessor thanks to optimized pistons and cylinders, as well as a new formulation of XPS E-TEC MAX oil. Combined with modified oil injection mapping, these improvements optimize lubrication, reduce friction, keep the engine cleaner, and reduce smoke and odors. This means cleaner combustion and reduced oil consumption, which lowers operating costs.

Intelligent (or dynamic) ECO mode reduces fuel consumption by up to 5%.

The button-activated ECO mode softens the throttle response and improves fuel efficiency. When ECO mode is activated, the RAVE valves close and the E-TEC system with auxiliary injectors adjusts the air-fuel ratio by reducing fuel delivery by up to 5%. When the throttle is pressed hard, the RAVE valves reopen and the air-fuel ratio increases to provide more power.

Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R

It unleashes a massive 180 hp with blistering acceleration and breathtaking power. The water injection system maintains optimal intake temperatures for consistent maximum power, while Launch Mode enables explosive acceleration. Comes with an ingenious SHOT starting system.

Rotax 850 E-TEC

Develops an impressive 165 horsepower with exceptional responsiveness for riders who demand high engine performance and superior throttle control.

SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY

PPS³ rear suspension

Features progressive operation, long suspension travel, and independent operation of the center and rear arms. This suspension is renowned for its high resistance to bottoming out and its ability to make trail irregularities virtually imperceptible. Controlled weight transfer and easy ski lift during acceleration are hallmarks of the Rave RE, contributing to a motocross-style ride where the front end feels light. Reinforced rails ensure exceptional strength and reliability on demanding trails.

LFS-R Front Suspension

Introduced as a 2026 model, the new LFS-R front suspension is designed with taller legs, increased suspension travel, and greater ground clearance, providing superior damping capacity and significantly reducing chassis roll when cornering. With highly precise steering and industry-leading suspension capabilities, the LFS-R delivers an exhilarating yet perfectly stable ride at high speeds.

KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima Shock Absorber Kit

The Rave RE’s front and rear suspensions are fully equipped with massive 46 mm diameter KYB PRO shock absorbers. Quick access to a wide range of settings allows the suspension to be optimized for riding conditions and rider preferences. High- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustments. Kashima coating reduces friction, provides great responsiveness, and extends service intervals.

NEW: The rear suspension features the same shock settings as the previous Enduro package in Scandinavia—tuned for aggressive, high-performance riding.

Ice Ripper XT Track (15 x 137 x 1.5 in.)

The studded track offers an optimal combination of traction, agility, and fast performance in a variety of trail conditions, including icy surfaces.

ADVANCED FEATURES

This innovative system saves approximately 20 lb (9 kg) compared to a conventional electric starter, conserving the rider’s energy for what really matters: riding. It’s the smartest way to start your day on the snow.

10.25″ Touchscreen

The 10.25-inch touchscreen offers vibrant graphics and a large, easy-to-read display, with built-in GPS and Group feature.
