Valcourt, Quebec, February 20, 2024 – BRP Inc. (TSX:DOO; NASDAQ:DOOO) with its built tough Lynx lineup of snowmobiles celebrates 40 years of trail sport and racing heritage and adds new levels of winter fun and excitement. The Rave GLS 40th Anniversary Edition packages all of the highest Lynx performance offered into one giant adrenaline punch to thrill the rough trail riders and the new Brutal RE model will be fierce conquering any terrain in the do-it -all world of crossover riders. There are also more models moving on the Radien2 platform with its improved ergonomics, LED lighting and advanced connectivity, new models offering great value with true capabilities. This year, Lynx also adds a second model of the Adventure Electric, now available to more commercial users such as ski centers and recreational resorts, as well as consumers to play around their cabin. This new model is designed for more traction and flotation in loose snow.
“At Lynx when we say we’re built tough – we mean both the snowmobiles and their riders. These sleds are meant to break through to new levels in every parameter of fun, excitement and performance, just as their demanding riders expect them to,” stated Jeremi Doyon-Roch, Director, Global Brand Strategy, Ski-Doo, Lynx & Sea-Doo. “The 2025 Rave GLS and Brutal RE models crystalize everything extreme about Lynx into awesome packages that will rock the rough trail and crossover segments in new ways, ensuring Lynx is well positioned for continued growth in these segments. And, the new value driven 49 and 59 Ranger models pay homage to our Scandinavian roots with tough, reliable workhorse sleds.”
The Rave GLS 40th Anniversary Edition marks Lynx’ entry into the performance realm and the beginning of European snocross domination by the brand forty years ago – it changed both the brand and racing forever – and the color and graphics call back to those early days. This model features the best components starting with the Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R with water injection – one of the most powerful 2-stroke engine available – and uses high end suspension components like the PPS³ rear suspension and massive Kashima coated KYB Pro 46 shock absorbers straight off the race track. It’s all business with a shot of history mixed in.
The Brutal RE has been formed from two different directions – one is the go anywhere and do anything direction, the other is ‘take it to the extreme and conquer it faster and better than anyone else’. Combining great floatation and agility with aggressive track profiles in 16 or 20-inch widths and the outrageously competent RE shock package leads to an off-trail biased snowmobile that stops at nothing. And it offers a choice of Rotax 850 E-TEC 2-stroke or 900 ACE Turbo R 4-stroke power that no other crossover sled can match.
The new 49 and 59 Ranger* models (available in Scandinavia only) deliver Lynx built tough performance at wallet friendly prices for those seeking value and more work-oriented uses. Other notable changes for 2025 include Xterrain RE adding the Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R and 900 ACE Turbo R options with both featured on the Radien2 platform, a redefined Limited package for the Adventure and Commander models that includes added convenience touches and passenger kit options plus a PRO package for when jobs need to get done that includes additional protection and functionality components.
The connectivity experience also advances with the 10.25-inch Touchscreen Display now featuring built-in GPS and embedded maps that can be used without a phone connected. Functionality like bread crumb paths, compass and vehicle direction are included as well as unique new features for the expanded Vibe communication system – which expands to now fit in all helmets for 2025. The BRP GO! app continues to evolve and improve the experience further when riders connect to their phones with features like route planning, turn-by-turn navigation, points of interest and friends tracking. Improvements include:
- Easy trip recording with access to previous ride breadcrumb
- See distance traveled and time since departure
- Lock North up on map
- Off-trail itinerary management
- Improved POI searching
