The 2019 Yamaha Sidewinder SRX LE features a 137-inch two-ply Ripsaw track and comes with short 1-inch bars to multiply efficiency and top speed. KEY FEATURES

Genesis 998 Turbocharged Engine – The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine is unmatched when it comes to delivering awesome power with Yamaha’s signature refinement and quality. Built around this superb turbo, all engine components, from intake to exhaust, are designed to deliver uncompromising performance. This Yamaha turbo has already earned the respect and reputation that is consistent with the manufacturer’s great achievements. This is truly the powerful venom of the Sidewinder’s bite.

High Performance YSRC Clutch System – The YSRC clutch primary and secondary roller pulleys were designed with durability and light operation in mind. They efficiently transmit the impressive torque produced by the Genesis Turbo to the track with minimal drive belt wear. The primary pulley engages aggressively to utilize the full power available, while the second roller pulley responds quickly to downshifting and provides additional ratio through its large pulleys to continue accelerating long after the others have dropped out.

Fox Zero iQS Amortos – The new Intelligent Quick Shift (iQS) amortos from FOX are installed on the front and rear arms. The suspension is adjusted in the heat of the action with a button on the left handlebar grip. Compression damping has three separate settings, allowing for soft to stiff damping. Once activated, the SCU (Suspension Control Unit), mounted on the shock body, changes the required oil flow to all shocks in less than a second, allowing the rider to adjust the travel to suit the riding conditions. Once the desired setting is selected, it is clearly displayed on the left side of the digital instrument panel. The rebound damping is preset and remains consistent to control jerking when riding over bumps, regardless of the iQS compression setting selected.

SRX 137 Low Profile Suspension – The new SRX’s suspension is now recalibrated with new progressive rate springs, while soft preload rear torsion springs lower the ride height. The lower profile enhances high-speed performance, while allowing the machine to negotiate corners with ease. In addition, the shock becomes stiffer during compression to prevent sudden collapse. This is a “coupled” suspension with a unique “sliding” front arm arrangement. With more than a centimeter of movement in the front arm “slot,” the system allows the SR 137 to reduce takeoff during acceleration and still maintain a flawless ride over bumps.
