Polaris Off Road has officially unveiled its 2027 off-road lineup, introducing significant improvements in performance, technology, and rider comfort. The headline-grabber is undoubtedly the all-new RZR Pro R Boost, a side-by-side that sets a new benchmark with an industry-leading 275 horsepower.

Since launching the original RZR in 2007, Polaris has played a major role in shaping the high-performance side-by-side segment. With the 2027 RZR Pro R Boost, the American manufacturer once again pushes the limits by delivering the most powerful production RZR ever built.

“For more than 70 years, we’ve shaped off-road riding by listening to riders. That’s exactly what we’ve continued to do across our 2027 lineup. From styling and technology to comfort and performance, we’ve worked to deliver an even better driving experience,” said Reid Wilson, President of Polaris Off-Road Vehicles.

Unmatched Power

At the heart of the new RZR Pro R Boost is an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged ProStar Fury engine producing 275 horsepower. The new powerplant delivers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio, providing explosive acceleration, instant throttle response, and smooth, consistent power throughout the RPM range.

Polaris also says the advanced turbocharger is engineered to maintain peak power at elevations up to 10,000 feet (3,048 metres), ensuring consistent performance even in high-altitude environments.

A Completely Reengineered Drivetrain

To handle its impressive 275 horsepower, Polaris did far more than simply install a larger engine. The entire system that transfers power to the wheels has been redesigned to deliver greater strength, durability, and control, even in the harshest riding conditions.

Key improvements include:

  • A new high-capacity clutch with improved cooling to extend belt life;
  • An all-new dual-radiator cooling system that helps maintain optimal engine, turbocharger, and transmission temperatures;
  • A reinforced front drivetrain for more efficient power transfer to the ground;
  • Stronger axle shafts designed specifically to withstand 275 horsepower;
  • Updated CVT calibration and new engine mounts that reduce noise and vibration while delivering quicker, more precise throttle response.

Together, these upgrades are designed to provide not only exceptional performance but also improved durability and confidence during the most demanding rides.

An Even More Advanced Suspension

The 2027 RZR Pro R Boost will be available in two- and four-seat configurations, offered in Ultimate and Ultra trims.

Ultimate models feature Polaris’ electronically controlled DYNAMIX suspension, specially tuned for desert riding. It now includes enhanced G-Out Protection and improved rear suspension control for greater confidence over rough terrain.

The Ultra models take performance even further with DYNAMIX DVS, a race-proven suspension system.

This version introduces the industry’s first active sway bar links, capable of making adjustments up to 200 times per second, maximizing stability, precision, and vehicle control across changing terrain.

The Ultra trim also includes several exclusive features:

  • Carbon fiber hood;
  • Carbon fiber seat accents;
  • MPI GT performance steering wheel;
  • 32-inch BFGoodrich tires;
  • Exclusive paint and graphics package.

Enhanced Connectivity

Beyond its performance upgrades, the 2027 RZR Pro R Boost also introduces new technology designed to enhance the driving experience.

Among the highlights is Apple CarPlay compatibility, allowing seamless smartphone integration through the vehicle’s display. Polaris also offers a broad lineup of accessories, giving owners more opportunities to customize their RZR for trail riding, recreation, or racing.

Pricing and Availability

The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost carries a starting U.S. MSRP of $49,999 and is expected to arrive at dealerships in November 2026.

Our First Impression

With its 275-horsepower turbocharged engine, reinforced drivetrain, more advanced electronic suspension, and expanded technology package, the 2027 RZR Pro R Boost represents one of the biggest evolutions of the Pro R platform since its introduction.

On paper, Polaris has once again raised the bar in the high-performance side-by-side segment. The remaining question is whether those impressive specifications will translate into an equally outstanding driving experience. One thing is certain: the competition has just been put on notice.
