For snowmobilers, the call of untouched powder and endless backcountry terrain is irresistible. It’s more than a ride—it’s a journey into the wild, where freedom, remote camaraderie, and adrenaline collide. Riders across western North America, Alaska, and northern Canada know this feeling well: the thrill of carving through landscapes few have ever seen, and the quiet power of forging your own path.
That sense of discovery only grows when the terrain demands creativity and grit. Every climb, carve, and drop becomes a personal expression. It’s this relentless pursuit of the next line, the next challenge, that fuels Ski-Doo’s innovation.
Enter the Summit lineup—purpose-built to match riders with the perfect machine for their deep snow adventures. Every model is engineered with precision, pairing features to riding style for maximum performance and enjoyment. For 2027, the focus on lightweight design continues across the board, including in-season models. Plus, the DNA of the X and Expert models now flow into the Adrenaline and Edge models, giving riders more ways than ever to find their perfect match.
A key Ski-Doo innovation and huge energy saving feature for mountain riders everywhere is the SHOT starter which is standard on Summit Expert, Summit X, Summit Adrenaline and Summit Edge models using the new ROTAX 600RR E-TEC, 850 E-TEC and 850 E-TEC Turbo R engines. This feature is unique to Rotax E-TEC powered snowmobiles and coveted by many. Summit X and Adrenaline buyers have choices of SHOT and electric start, X is also offered with manual start.
Ski-Doo is again offering two calibrations for the drive train on Summit X and Expert with 850 E-TEC engines (only); One for high altitude, above 4,000 feet, and a sea level calibration for those who ride below 4,000 feet on select engine and track configurations.
As the undisputed leader in the snowmobile industry, Ski-Doo also supports the younger and new riders – and developed deep snow offerings to fit their needs. The Summit Neo and Neo+ are mid-sized models perfectly powered for these riders to enjoy the thrill of the ride, but the smaller ergonomics are also perfectly tailored to fit them as well. With the reliable Rotax 600 EFI 2-stroke offering a lightweight ride in a narrowed chassis, these models will usher in new generations of snowmobilers.
With Summit, the mountain is yours to explore. No boundaries. No limits. Just pure, unfiltered winter freedom.

Summit Expert: Precision for the Most Demanding Terrain
The Summit Expert is built for riders who thrive in the steep, deep, and technical. These are the snowmobilers who seek out the tightest tree lines, the sharpest climbs, and the most demanding conditions—where every move counts and confidence is everything.
What sets the Expert Package apart is its purpose-driven design. Featuring the new tMotion L/O coil-over rear suspension that provides faster rebound and light feel -it brings confidence with a rigid rear arm and a full rod track to conquer steep sidehills. Add the exclusive 32-inch ski stance and Twin Link steering system and riders see the Expert is engineered for pinpoint control in extreme terrain. Yes, it asks more of the rider—but that’s exactly the point. For those who live for the challenge, the payoff is unmatched precision and the ability to hold a line where others simply can’t.
This sled isn’t just built to perform—it’s built to empower. For riders who push the technical riding limits of what’s possible in the backcountry, the Summit Expert is the ultimate tool.
What’s New
- tMotion L/O coil-over rear suspension – 1.5 lbs. weight reduction
- 6061-T6 forged aluminum a-arms – weight reduction .5 lbs.
- S-Module – weight reduction of 1.5 lbs.
- Close to 12 lbs of wet weight savings within the last 2 model years
Key Points for Summit Expert
- Built with observations of and feedback directly from Ski-Doo Brand Ambassadors and hardcore riders blended with the Ski-Doo product development team’s thoughts on the next step
- This sled is for the those that seek super technical terrain and will sacrifice some ease of use and burn energy for ultimate precision
- The REV Gen5 platform with narrow width at the toe holds and side panels that allow super steep lean angles to stick to sidehills like never before
- The body work brings air in and out of the chassis to keep things cooler without ingesting snow, and the small silhouette provides great vision
- The mass is centralized and balanced side to side to assure the renowned quick agility of REV platforms remains a center piece and the open cockpit design lets rider move around easily
- NEW The tMotion L/O coil-over rear suspension rebounds faster and pops out of the snow easier providing a lighter feel. The fixed rear arm adds stability and predictability in steep technical riding
- The PowderMax X-Light full rod track supports side hilling and predictability characteristics
- The Pilot DS 4 stays flat on top of the snow rather than allowing it to tip up and plow – which makes traversing steep terrain much more predictable and confident. It also tracks better on less than perfect snow conditions so rides to the untracked, tight trees are more enjoyable
- Ski stance is the industry’s narrowest at 32 inches. This makes it easier to initiate rollup, offsetting the losses from a rigid rear arm and full rod track and retaining the overall ease of handling this package is known for.
- The Twin Link steering controls bump steer on trails while allowing greater turning angles so riders can use counter steering more effectively to control their chosen lines and removes free play for a very connected feel.
- The Summit Expert has two very potent engines available; the Rotax 850 E-TEC and 850 E-TEC Turbo R. The Turbo R maintains industry-leading throttle response with zero turbo lag, giving riders ultimate control and power at altitude. Both run on pump gas, are precisely calibrated and perfectly balanced in the chassis
- Ski-Doo exclusive SHOT starting system — still unequaled and still a mountain rider’s best friend, is standard

Ski-Doo Summit X: The Ultimate Deep Snow Experience
The Ski-Doo Summit X is the sled that leaves riders grinning from ear to ear at the end of the day. Why? Because it goes everywhere they want—and everywhere others go—with an effortless flow and a whole lot more fun. But don’t mistake the playful attitude for lack of competence – this sled is a weapon. Engineered for agility and floatation, the Summit X is the lightest, most nimble deep snow sled in the Ski-Doo lineup, delivering unmatched ease of use and intuitive handling – with all the premium features high end riders demand.
At its core, the Summit X is a lightweight, high-performance machine built to satisfy the widest range of riders—from those chasing technical terrain to those simply looking to rip in the powder. Its effortless maneuverability means riders can tackle tight lines and challenging conditions with minimal input. Just a glance in the desired direction is often all it takes for the sled to react, making it one of the most responsive rides on snow.
Thanks to its tMotion X coil-over rear suspension with a pivoting rear arm and FlexEdge track, the Summit X offers smooth roll-up and a less fatiguing ride. This design not only enhances its lightweight feel but also helps riders conserve energy – especially when SHOT push button starting is factored in – allowing them to stay fresh longer and push deeper into the backcountry.
Whether you’re a seasoned mountain rider or someone looking to explore with a more playful approach, the Summit X delivers. It embodies Ski-Doo’s deep snow legacy, offering the perfect balance of high-performance, agility, and accessibility. It’s the go-anywhere, do-anything sled that makes every ride more enjoyable—and every day on the mountain more memorable.
Key Points for Summit X
- This is the lightest deep snow sled in the Ski-Doo lineup – having lost as much as 14lbs of wet weight within the last two years – with premium Spring Only features and high performance that appeals to a very wide audience
- REV Gen5 platform offers a narrower, smaller profile that provides great vision, a lightweight feel and the ability to lean it into the steepest inclines without paneling out
- The side to side centrally balanced engine and open cockpit design lets riders move around freely to use the responsiveness and agility of the chassis and control their ride with less effort
- Noteworthy features on the REV Gen5 platform include four engine mounts and an innovative CVT cooling system that contribute to consistent performance, low belt temperatures and longer life. Plus, there’s a quick-removable drive axle and easier access to things like oil and coolant tanks for serviceability
- Premium LED headlights are small, lightweight and very effective – for those longer days when a rider is having too much fun and just doesn’t want to head back
- A glovebox is built into the hood and there’s an optional 10.25-inch Touchscreen Display with a premium look, feel and emphasis on readability while riding plus simple and intuitive interface – and this year, it adds an RF antenna for Group Ride Capability functionality without a phone

- The super short tunnel design provides maximum mobility on the deepest days by staying out of the snow and further reducing drag. The lightweight ski spindle and stopper provide consistent sidehilling by not allowing the ski to tip up easily – preventing plowing and slowing momentum
- Small diameter handlebars, a low 120mm riser and the adjustable brake lever provide greater control while the low-profile weather resistant seat adds to ease of mobility around the sled

2027 Summit NEO and NEO+ Packages

SNAPSHOT
Snowmobiling crosses generations and gender like few sports. Once you experience it, you’ll never stop talking about it and want to share it with friends and family, young and old. But how do you introduce someone that’s smaller in stature or younger or simply new to motorsports without intimidating them on a full-sized sled? Meet the Summit Neo and Neo+ – the way to bring those great experiences to these groups of riders.
These snowmobiles are designed to fill all those needs providing an easy, playful and fun rider experience without compromises. The engines start easy (standard electric start) and run clean, the exhaust note is quiet, the vibration almost non-existent and power delivery is smooth – just like the ride quality. Top it off with a price that’s below market expectations – and it becomes a game changer.
Key Points for Summit Neo and Neo+
- The basis of Neo models is the REV Gen5 platform with a modern athletic style, LED lighting, reduced NVH and more
- Where it differs from other REV Gen5 sleds is a lower ride height for a lowered center of gravity and confidence-inspiring feel, shorter 146” track length, the ski stance is narrowed
- The compact seat and smaller diameter and narrower handlebars are downsized to provide a lighter feeling, easier to handle snowmobile
- The adjustable ski stance of 33.7 and 35.4 inches (85.6 – 90 cm) lets riders choose their level of stability
- The single shock rear suspension is lighter weight with a simple, effective design.
- The base Neo model features a 146 x 14 x 1.6” track to reduce weight and increase playfulness
- The Neo and Neo+ use the liquid cooled Rotax 600 EFI engine to motivate the sled, the differences being the Neo features a 55-horsepower version, while the Neo+ features an 85-horsepower version
