Proute Chassis
And this is the ProUte chassis. It’s the all-new platform for what may be the most functional line of snowmobiles the world has ever seen. The ProUte chassis transforms the old Bearcat,® a toughest machine, into a remarkably easy-to-handle snowmobile. The ProUte WT is designed for our 20″ wide track. Whether you’re towing, backpacking, grooming or patrolling the ski slopes, there’s never been a chassis that performs better.
Twin Spar Chassis
The Bearcat® 2000 LT, XT and XTE models are built on a Twin Spar frame that features two triangulated compartmentalized aluminum frame rails with steering mounts. Tunnel beams are integrated to provide extreme rigidity while riding. In addition, its self-tapping rivets ensure the rigidity of the joints and a robustness to the whole.
Arctic Race Suspension
The front suspension geometry directs loads toward the center of the chassis. This configuration makes the front end look as dynamic as it handles. The lightweight forged aluminum one-piece rod is designed to strengthen the assembly. Ball joints reduce drag and create improved rider feedback. This design makes these snowmobiles highly maneuverable in all terrain conditions.
AWS VII Front Suspension
All Bearcat® 2000s feature Arctic Cat’s legendary AWS VII front suspension. A stabilizer bar and twin-tube shocks give you the handling and control you’re looking for, while reducing steering effort.
Xtra-Action Rear Suspension
Bearcat® 7000 XT wide track machines use the all-new articulating rear suspension. The articulation allows the rear of the suspension to move up and down when you’re riding on rough snow cover. It also makes your snowmobile more maneuverable. When backing up, make sure you are in the unlocked position. This allows the rear end of the gear to lift rather than sink into the snow. When you want more traction, lock the undercarriage and you’ll have a straight slide suspension that takes full advantage of the 154″ track.
Articulated Rear Suspension

Slide-Action Rear Suspension
Competition technology has been extended to everyday performance. The SLIDE-ACTION rear suspension maintains a free-acting front arm while adjusting to torque through jumps, steep turns and acceleration. When the rear transfer blocks are engaged, the front arm follows the shock, keeping your skis firmly planted. It’s the only suspension to feature a “U” shaped slot that sits on a fixed shaft to allow for a crucial 0.5″ of glide (SLIDE-ACTION). This important detail controls the lift of the skis during acceleration.
10/8 Skis Proute
Narrower, adjustable ski spacing from 37.5 to 43.5 inches improves off-trail maneuverability on Bearcat® 7000 XT models. The new 10/8 skis are 10″ at the widest part and 8″ at the narrowest part. The curved tips allow you to ride in deep snow without sinking.
Team® Clutch
TEAM Industries is making your Arctic Cat® even better this year with its primary and secondary clutches. Known in the industry for their light weight and strength, they eliminate belt slippage. As a result, belt and clutch temperatures are reduced and more power is transmitted to the track. In addition, clutch adjustment is easy and precise.
Wide Range 3 (WR3) transmission with dynamic shifter
You already have the power and strength. Now you’ve got the Wide Range 3 system with dynamic control. No one goes this low. Clutch in very low gear and you take off without track slip. A gear ratio this low has never been seen before. When you venture into deeper snow, the risk of getting stuck is virtually zero. Use the full power of the 135 hp class with the right gear ratio for the snow conditions.
Arctic Drive System
The Arctic Drive system includes a lightweight magnesium chain case. For 2016, we incorporated a large TEAM Rapid Reaction BOSS driven pulley and a TEAM Rapid Response drive pulley.
ACT Diamond Direct Drivemd
The heavy-duty ACT Diamond Direct Drive gearing system reduces track speed upon clutch engagement without compromising top speed. This allows for a smooth transfer of power from the engine to the track.

2017 Arctic Cat Bearcat LT 2000
The Bearcat LT is versatile, simple and still offers great value. It features SLIDE-ACTION rear suspension, AWS IV front suspension, Twin Spar chassis, adjustable torsion springs, twin-tube hydraulic front arm shock absorber, 2″ diameter rear arm shock absorber, removable passenger seat and 151″ Ripsaw track for excellent deep snow capability. The Bearcat LT is powered by the popular 2000 two-stroke 570cc engine.
2017 Arctic Cat Bearcat LT 3000
Mounted on the ProUte chassis, this Bearcat is powered by its 3000 engine. Perfect for both work and play, this 700cc four-stroke engine in the 65hp class is one of the most efficient in the line. The LT model features the new ProUte 10/8 skis, a mountain-style seat and SLIDE-ACTION track system with internal floating piston (IFP) shocks. With adjustable ski spacing from 35.5″ to 41.5″ and a 15″ x 146″ x 1.35″ Cobra track, this Bearcat goes where you need to go.
2017 Arctic Cat Bearcat XT 2000
Upgrade to the Bearcat XT and you’ll get an electric starter, glass-breaker overload springs on the rear articulated suspension of the wide, 154-inch track, as well as wind deflectors and passenger footrests. And the whole thing is powered by the 2000 two-stroke 570cc engine.
2017 Arctic Cat Bearcat XT 7000
Built on the ProUte XT chassis and powered by our unyielding 135-hp class four-stroke engine, this big Bearcat is equipped with the WR3 transmission that allows for very low speeds for towing heavy loads. The new cooling system keeps the engine at optimal temperatures. All wide track Bearcats feature the new articulating rear suspension. Lock it. Unlock it. You’ll be on your way in seconds.
2017 Arctic Cat Bearcat XT GS 7000
The GS model keeps getting better and better; this time with a 7000 four-stroke engine, giving it excellent pulling and working power. The ProUte XT chassis was designed for heavy-duty work. Note how the light bar can be moved to allow you to ride with or without the passenger seat. The articulated and lockable XTRA-ACTION undercarriage, the 391.2 cm (154″) track and the WR3 transmission allow you to tow heavy loads. The larger, front-mounted radiator provides excellent cooling.
